Role Summary/Purpose: The quotations engineer is part of the Power Equipment team MEAT where he/she is responsible for creating project proposals which are technically executable and have a correct cost calculation based on technical requirements from internal/external customers. These cost calculations should lead to a price managable in the market with a level of profitability acceptable for the business.
Essential Responsibilities :
a- Translating customer received requirements into a technically executable proposal;
b- On time delivery of a quotation with all necessary documentation (i.e. compliance statement) and ensure a comprehensive definition of the technical proposal;
c- Creates and implements processes/solutions with customer viewpoint. Proactively communicates and drive for partnership with customers to create mutually beneficial, profitable and lasting relationships;
d- Ensure application of adequate quotation contribution margin level and price control policies for required business profitability. Recognizes when to maintain or shift direction to enhance competitive position;
e- Works collaboratively, support Sales Engineers in conducting price/technical negotiations with customers project management;
f- Proactively adopts new technologies from other disciplines and applies them in processes and products.
g- Generates innovative ideas, be creative with the ability to offer optimized solutions.
h- Maintain quotation tools and quotation databases with most updated cost information in order to secure accurate project calculation;
i- Willingness to Travel (50% of the time).
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
– Minimum a 3 years experience in LV projects quotations or requisition or R&D engineering or on any other role connected to design, execution and maintenance of electrical distribution and/or electrical equipment.
– Good experience in MV projects quotations or requisition or R&D engineering or on any other role connected to design, execution and maintenance of electrical distribution and/or electrical equipment.
Education: Holder of Electrical Engineering degree from a reputable university
Knowledge:
– Energy Distribution Systems;
– MV systems;
– LV systems and all various variants in which they are present in the market;
– MS office knowledge;
– Visio, AutoCad and Eplan;
– commercial and legal terms knowledge and experience will be additional value;
Communication/Language: Good communication skills with solid command of the French language, written and oral which enable him to partner with external stakeholders to shape future outcomes, generate technical and commercial proposals to create mutually beneficial solutions.
Commercial;
– Solid Commercial skills which enables him/her to negotiate RFQs/Tenders terms and conditions with EPC, Partners and Customers.
– Strong Customer Focus with the ability to read customer CTQs;
– Clear understanding of the Sales processes and Customer buying decisions
– Ability to leverage market/industry knowledge to anticipate changes and take actions.
