We are looking for Accountant for our Project of 400 kv substation at Chlef. This position will be based at Algiers office. The candidate should have work experience of 5 to 10 years in construction projects / company as Accountant.

Duties and responsibilities of the accountant :

– Good working knowledge of different taxes applicable to the construction project and taking proactive action to comply with local regulations.

– Good working knowledge of Local tax regulations, accounting and auditing and  ensuring compliance in accordance with the company Generally Accounting Principles.

– Preparation and monitoring of accounting systems and procedures for the compliance with international accounting principles and local GAAP.

– Preparing of the monthly tax declaration for TAP – IRG – VAT etc.

– Preparation and recording of accounting transactions in company’s ERP system .

– Update and compliance of legal books.

– Preparing annual tax returns for personal income tax and social security.

– Preparation and maintenance of multi-currency and dual chart of accounts system and translate the transactions as per local accounting principles and acceptable for tax reporting purpose.

– Preparing of the different annual tax declarations (fiscal balance sheet – P & L).

– Preparing annual tax returns for corporate income tax.

– Preparation and follow-up of tax assessment from DGE.

– Thorough knowledge on Algerian taxes and social security withholdings, company contribution for national and expatriate employees.

– Supporting the contract department in the preparation of contract of subcontractor.

– Coordinating with Site management, finance manager / controller and tax consultant.

– Coordination with auditors to complete audited financial statement.

– Assisting the site management in budget and performance management system .

Skills and experience:

– Basic training: Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounts, Management or Other relevant subjects.

– Work experience: 05 – 10 Years in a similar post.

– Sense of confidentiality.

– Fluency in Arabic and French, speaking English will be an advantage.- Excellent Control of MS office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint), Experience in ERP system.
