Role Summary/Purpose: We are seeking to hire a number of engineering graduates to join our exciting Application Engineering Program across our various GE Energy businesses including Oil & Gas, Power & Water & Energy Management. This is a 2 year rotational program that will allow you to gain exposure and knowledge within the business & develop your technical & leadership skills.
Openings are available across various countries including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Algeria, Oman, Iraq & Jordan.
Essential Responsibilities:
As an Application Engineer you will work closely within the ITO team to drive technical proposals as per business & specific project requirements.
The Application Engineer demonstrates strong technical leadership to meet business objectives of the various Energy businesses in the Middle East & North Africa region.
In this role, you will be required to:
– Develop and follow-up on technical proposals for all business segments within the Energy Industry in compliance with GE product policies and International Standards.
– Have ownership to coordinate with internal functions like Engineering, Product Leadership, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Testing and Commercial Operation teams to successfully resolve technical matters related to specific customer project specifications.
– Be responsible for carrying out technical negotiations with customer from early conceptual project stage until commencement of project execution.
– You shall be fully responsible and accountable to define the proposal cost base and deliver the project to execution team with the highest quality by ensuring all technical and safety triggers have been mitigated.
– You shall champion the company new product initiatives and drive growth by influencing and working with customers at early project stage. You shall be willing to travel to support the application engineering team, regional sales and commercial operation teams on technical discussions as and when needed.
– You shall take lead in specific projects to analyze the technical challenges, develop solutions while working under pressure and with tight deadlines.
Qualifications/Requirements:
– Bachelor of Engineering in either Mechanical or Electrical.
– Fresh graduate / 0-2 years’ experience .
– Customer Centric Approach.
– Basic Financial skills.
– Good presentation skills, both with direct supervisors and Customers.
– Good knowledge of MS Office, CAD and Engineering Software’s.
– Fluent in English.
– You may be required to complete rotational assignments abroad therefore willingness to travel for up to 6 months at a time is essential.
Desired Characteristics:
– Good knowledge on International Engineering Standards for the Energy industry.
– Familiarization with project specifications of NOCs / IOCs in the MENAT region.
– Strong oral and written communication skills.
– Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
