This position will be part of the Commercial Trade & Channel (CTC) team, within the Business & Commercial Operations Unit of MSD Algeria.

CTC team is responsible for the commercial and marketing aspect of the supply chain (distributors, wholesalers, different types of pharmacies, through to the patient).

The CTC Team Lead will be responsible for both the development & execution of the Market strategy commercial trade channels (CTC).

This role will provide the required regional support for commercial offers, CTC pharmacy marketing plans and point of sale service programs.

This position will be critical in providing the development and implementation of the CTC framework plan and approach.

Job Responsibilities:

– Implementation of the CTC plan

– Implement and execute the sales team structure proposed in the CTC plan

– Drive the components in the CTC plan in collaboration with other divisions

– Develop mechanisms for daily sales team management

-people management

– Implement the tracking & measurement mechanism for the CTC plan & publish at regular intervals

– Customer Account responsibilities

– Revisit Account and Distributor strategies and make changes as required

– Establish a strong relationship with internal and external stake holders

– Distributors, Pharmacies and wholesalers

– Conduct business and category reviews with customers at regular interviews or as required.

– Develop promotional programs and deal strategies that maximize returns on MSD spends and discounts

– Ensures that call frequencies and coverage is monitored as per the plan- Ensure that target budgets are met on monthly and quarterly basis

– Line Management responsibilities

– Management of 2 people, Wholesaler Key Account Manager and Trade Marketing Specialist

– Responsible for proposing, creating and implementing the learning and development component for the CTC team with support of the Training Manager colleague

– Required to assess programs and skill levels within the CTC team

Qualifications Requirements:

– Preferred 5 years experience with a minimum of 3 years within similar field (OTC/generics/branded generics/FMCG).

– Knowledge & experience with commercial trade channels like wholesalers, pharmacy chains, virtual chains, buying groups…
