Role Summary/Purpose: Function as the on-site focal for the Oil & Gas service center in Algeria with responsibility for driving introduction, roll-out and industrialization of repairs and equipment of LF components through coordination with shop management, OG Global Services, and OG Repair Engineering. Hiring organization is GS Repair Engineering, continuous collaboration with Tech Support Team in GS Repair Operations.
Essential Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with Repair Engineering experts to support special process technology and component repair activity qualifications in the service center for industrial gas turbines, pumps, valves and compressors.
– Coordinate and execute implementation plans including source substantiation of new repairs with support from shop management and personnel.
– Interface with Oil&Gas Global Services, Materials & Process Engineering, and Repair Experts for execution of repair qualifications, participate/lead qualification teams/reviews
– Provide day-to-day repair technical support and collaborate with OG Repairs Experts and RTCoE special process and component repair experts as needed to drive quality and productivity.
– Identify opportunities for repair productivity enhancements, continuous improvement of processes and new repair development, qualify repair solutions for part deviations and emergent work.
– Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments.
– Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
– Provide technical guidance to other personnel and assigned teams; mentor others in the organization.
– Issue and execute the shop development and P&E plan including feasibility, training, equipment selection, shop/vendors qualifications and improvement;
– Lead roll-out, commissioning and industrialization of new repair technologies/equipment at Houston – Service Center with support from local shop personnel and Florence HQ.
– Support the productivity and Policy 6.0 initiatives and projects thru in the shop operations
– Support shop on emergent cases where HQ engineering/technical support is required
– Ensure uniform implementation of new repair technologies and standardize repair procedures
– Develop and maintain the standard repair cost listing, ensuring compliance with HQ controllership rules
Qualifications/Requirements:
– Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science
– At least 3 additional years of experience in an engineering position
Desired Characteristics:
– Experience with repair special processes including joining, coating, machining, assembling, etc
– Familiarity and hand-on experience with LF turbo machinery components and repair processes
– Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to coordinate global team efforts to execute repair projects and priorities
– Demonstrated analysis and problem solving skills
– Ability to work remotely with diverse global teams
– Strong project management skills and ability to monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments
