PURPOSE
To analyze, design, and plan the well construction project, in accordance with recommended technical and Safety and Environment practices, to ensure that the project objectives are met.
DRILLING SUPERINTENDENT CTERIZATION
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
– To control the execution of the activities described in the Well Construction Program observing all CLIENT HSE instructions, act in a safe manner and avoid unnecessary risks to themselves and others
– To immediately report any unsafe conditions or activities, dangerous occurrences or injuries in the workplace(s)
– To coordinate the team assigned to the operations
– To manage daily activities of drilling operations in accordance with CLEINT Policies and Algerian Legislation
– To co-ordinate the logistics of the people, materials and services required for the operations
– To ensure that the elements to be used in the operations (well materials, equipment and services) have passed integrity tests and certifications
– To co-ordinate the emergency-response plan and any emergency drills in the operations
– To supervise and implement any actions necessary for managing changes in the well construction project
– To promote and implement operational procedures, technical manuals and well construction technologies
– To ensure all documentation for drilling operations approval is prepared and submitted and that drilling operation approval is obtained
– To contribute to drilling engineering and drilling operations problem solving
– To liaise with the drilling unit(s), drilling contractor(s) and government authorities
– To review and prepare for approval operational procedures and programs
– To provide clear stewardship reporting on an as-required and exception basis to CLIENT Drilling Manager
DRILLING SUPERVISOR
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
– To supervise the execution of the activities described in the Well Construction Program observing all CLIENT HSE instructions, act in a safe manner and avoid unnecessary risks to themselves and others
– To carry out risk assessment of each particular operation and communicate to the operation personnel, and co-ordinate the emergency-response plan and any emergency drills in the operations
– To immediately report any unsafe conditions or activities, dangerous occurrences or injuries in the workplace(s)
– To verify that critical safety-control elements have passed the integrity tests and certifications.
– To ensure that incidents are investigated and reported
– To co-ordinate the availability of equipment, tools and supplies in order to ensure the implementation of the program and operational continuity and to maintain an accurate inventory at the well-site
– To produce the daily operations report and to ensure timely and accurate reporting of well-site activities and maintain and report accurate field costs
– To co-ordinate, supervise and certify services at the well-site
– To act as central liaison point between well-site and office based functions on all operational issues.
– To ensure all service personnel movements are approved and co-ordinated
– To ensure that the proper procedure is followed to authorise changes to or deviations from the official work programme
– To control and optimise the daily progress of drilling and completion activites
– To report on the performance of services companies ensuring plant and equipment is well maintained and operated, that personnel are competent and that operations are carried out safely and consistent with good oilfield practice and procedures.
– Responsible for compiling, monitoring and submitting all necessary records required by CLIENT, including operational recommendations and inputs to future programs in the form of lessons learnt.
– To study and review the information, technical data, performance indicators and job results. Generalize and classify them, and perform required calculations
REQUIREMENTS
– Well Control Certification. Experienced in high pressure, sour gas wells and wells greater than 4000m
– Good skills with PC in Windows environment.
– Hands on experience with Landmark spreadsheet applications for stress analyses (Stress Check, WellCat).
– Have ability to work with Landmark DIMS / OPEN WELL.
– Fluent in English. French is highly considered.
– Good communication skills, flexible and self confident.
Superintendent:
– At least 15 years relevant working experience of which:
– Minimum 10 years in development projects for the Oil & Gas industry
– Minimum 5 years in projects developed in desert environments
– University Degree or Higher National Diploma in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
Supervisor
– At least 10 years relevant working experience of which:
– Minimum 7 years in development projects for the Oil & Gas industry
– Minimum 3 years in projects developed in desert environments
– Higher National Diploma (technical) or have formal skill in Petroleum and Mechanical Engineering
