Role Summary/Purpose:
A GE Energy business providing field services for Gas Turbines has an immediate need for Mechanical Field Service Representatives with 5+ years of experience working on Gas Turbines (Pratt & Whitney, General Electric, Rolls Royce and Solar).
Essential Responsibilities:
– Before assignments, prepare field services jobs and interventions with the service managers (parts, tooling, manpower etc.)
– Execute hands-on job on site, including sub-contractor coordination and customer/internal communication
– Provide customers with technical direction and support on GE Packaged products or other non-GE products, including hands on maintenance / operation and repair of these products
– Write accurate professional reports acting as single point of contact between Customers and GE AeroEnergy concerning technical issues and interfacing with all involved functions
– Act as country customer support, assessing about tooling maintenance, part inventory and maintenance practices as necessary.
– Ensure all in-field activities carried out safely complying with company environmental health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures
– The candidate will be responsible to keep reliability of Customers assets and to support on proactive way all GE Aero customers. Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality.
– Provide all the information and document to administrative department to correctly and timely invoice the customers.
Qualifications/Requirements:
– Mechanic Engineer Degree or Technical High School5+ years related work experience in Oil & Gas and Power Plant industry field activities
– Strong knowledge in rotating equipment specially on Gas Turbine and their auxiliaries
– Strong customer focus and capacity to work with remote team. Leadership skills to manage contractors and providers to achieve milestone.
– Additional qualifications include previous millwright experience with high speed rotating equipment, process plant construction and heavy rigging.
– Technical competence in reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical flow and instrument diagrams, dial and laser alignment and thermal growth equipment.
– Experience with Boroscope equipment
– Extensive travel inside and outside Algeria will be required.
– Fluent English
Desired Characteristics:
– Additional qualifications include:
– Vibration analysis.
– Electrical circuitry, both AC & DC.
– Pipe fitting and tubing experience.
– Previous experience working on GE LM equipment.
– Project Management experience
– Customer relationship experience
