Role purpose:

  • Performs the operational, monitoring and control activities within a data center.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Follows schedule and enters jobs into the production job stream.
  • Monitors operations status and provides detailed reports to client and IT management as appropriate.
  • Identifies and resolves problems that may impact project/operating results.
  • Provides support and assistance to programmers and client area staff to identify and resolve technical problems.
  • Reviews and ensures adequacy of technical operating instruction manuals, system documentation, standards and procedures.
  • Performs technical analysis of work load, equipment loading, performance bottlenecks, and software changes and makes recommendations for improvements
  • Ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

  • Project completion on time and on budget.
  • Ensure stable and well performing system environment.
  • Apply professional competencies to administrate and optimize the assigned system environment.
  • Implement levels of best practice (price / performance etc.).
