HOME-BASED POSITION

Euromonitor International seeks a Market Research Analyst (Analyste de Recherche) in Algeria to work on project-led assignments on a CONTRACT BASIS. Work would suit candidates wishing to work from home who have market research experience and who are used to working independently.

Skills

– Market research experience desirable

– High level of numeracy

– Experience with statistical data a must – should be comfortable working with numbers and interpreting data sources

– Complete fluency in oral and written English ESSENTIAL

– Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel) essential

– Good communication skills – market research analyst will be expected to do trade interviews and talk to people within the industries they research

Profile

– The successful candidate will have excellent time management skills and be able to work from home. S/he must have access to a PC (Windows) and the Internet (Broadband).

– Time commitments vary according to projects; however, a market research analyst needs a minimum commitment of around 40 hours a week in order to complete most projects successfully.

– Reporting to project managers in our London office, the successful candidate will be involved in gathering data and contacting companies within the industries being researched.

– A background in economics, marketing, and/or market research is desirable. The successful candidate will enjoy problem solving, demonstrate a ‘can-do’ attitude, be able to work independently and be tenacious in their pursuit of information.

Projects

Our research projects addresses the following types of question in order to deliver insightful business intelligence to clients:

– How much fruit juice was consumed in Algeria  in 2013? How does this compare to the previous year?

– Which are the leading companies in Algeria  in terms of shampoo sales? What % share is held by the leading brands?

– Is there a market for this product in Algeria? What channels could it be sold through? Which companies will be its competitors and how should the product be positioned to ensure its success?

– Why is company X doing better in Algeria than company Y? What is their success strategy and how is this supported operationally? What could company Y do to improve its performance?
