The British Council is looking for a Project Assistant to be based in Algiers. The assistant will work together with a small, flexible team to effectively support the delivery of products and services in English to improve teaching and learning of English, working with the Ministry of National Education and our corporate partners. The objective is to enable British Council Algeria to achieve defined regional and local project outcomes in line with British Council’s Equal Opportunity & Diversity Policy and other overarching corporate policies.
You will report to the British Council English Project Manager.
The key role for the post holder will be to assist the Project Manager to support the development of relationships the British Council has with local educational partners across Algeria and to assist in the successful delivery of the British Council’s products in English.
– You will be highly motivated and able to work on your own initiative as well as being part of the British Council team in Algeria and a wider regional team across the Middle East and North Africa. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to plan your work and achieve results quickly and efficiently.
– You will also have good IT skills and be a willing team-worker. You will speak and write well in English, French, and Arabic.
– This post will suit someone with projects and marketing experience and or a relevant university qualification in marketing, project management or education.
Starting salary will be 40,000,00 DZD gross before tax and social security deductions
