Required Experience:

– A Senior Buyer with at least 5 years experience gained within a major Oil and Gas operating or contracting company.



– Should have good Supply Chain Experience, and a good working knowledge of Algerian and International Oilfield Vendors.

– Must also have experience at using integrated Purchasing / Materials Systems and must be familiar with modern purchasing techniques.

– Experience of working with and managing other Purchasing Staff very desirable

– Experience of preparing and tendering Contracts is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications:

– Degree qualified (or 5 years experience at Senior Buyer level) with good written and verbal communication skills.

– Good command (fluent) of spoken and written English and French.

Essential Job Functions:

– Recommend Bid lists and issue enquiries for equipment and materials to be purchased internationally and nationally.

– Analyse Bid Submissions from suppliers and in conjunction with Technical Departments make recommendations for award.

– Seek internal approvals and issue and administer purchase orders.

– Maintain good communications with requisitioning departments to resolve supply chain issues.

– Support the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies

– Assume responsibility of other Senior Buyers during periods of rotational leave.
