JOB PURPOSE:
To balance supply and demand on assigned assets, assuring customer service whilst optimizing site capacity utilisation and inventory within the given supply chain tactical plan framework, fully representing the site’s commitments to the global supply chain plan.
Compliance & Governance:
– It’s the ultimate responsibility of the job holder to comply-with and follow all applicable AstraZeneca policies (e.g. SHE, GMP, FCF, ABAC, IE etc) along with the Egyptian local laws and regulations relevant to the job responsibilities and exposure.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Description
GMP/GDP / Code of Conduct compliance:
Abiding to AZ quality standards by complying with GMPs embedded within each of the job requirements.
– Zero quality incidents root caused by human error.
– Assessments & performance management.
Balance long-term supply and demand plans:
– Long-term site capacity plan, (3 to 36 months –monthly buckets), developed and maintained in collaboration with the Global Supply Planner and other asset planners
– Local options developed and executed as part of the overall global resolution plan in collaboration with the local PET Team Leader if supply and demand cannot be balanced
Balance short to mid-term supply and demand plans:
– Short to mid-term, (0-3 months –weekly buckets), site capacity plan created in collaboration with the Global Supply Planners and PET Leader.
– Product demands met according to the tactical end-to-end supply plan
Inventory management:
– Tracking of actual performance versus local targets and improvements necessary to hit projected inventory and take corrective actions
Sales & Operations Planning:
– Site represented in contributing to local monthly product S&OP meeting, as part of the business planning process.
– Demand and supply exceptions managed
– Issues escalated where necessary to Rolling Business Planned local site plan subsequently updated based on agreed solutions
Continuous Improvement: Conceptual planning & business improvements to attain long term objectives of up to 36 months due.
– Collaborate with the site lean lead.
– Adhere to the site lean action plan.
– Capacity planning and WH utilization.
SHE enforcement & compliance: All planning activities are carried out according to basis of SHE & complying with its standards.
– Internal/external audits.
– No Lost time due to injury.
– Stop cards overall contribution.
Financial compliance: Business financial regulations & boundaries
– SOX compliance findings and follow up
– Budget utilization & feasibility studies.
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal:
– PET ring

External:
– Global planners in relevant to supply points

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
– Bachelor degree preferable pharmacy / science
– 5-8 years in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility
– Supply Chain Planning
– Integrated Supply Chain Management
– Lean Principles, Concepts and Tools
