Line Manager Job Title: Site Lead Finance Partner

Job Purpose

Embedded business finance support is the primary Finance interface to the business, aligned to the business, thereby maximising the ability to build relationships. Scope includes decision support, simplification, financial management, and governance.

Key accountabilities:

– Actively contribute to delivery of overall financial and business performance

– Increase controls on the main financial processes : fixed assets management, inventory management and month end reporting

– Prepare monthly reports, actuals, budgets, plans and forecasts and provide commentary on key variances/business drivers and any actions required

– Be point of contact for business colleagues for financial issues by representing Finance and being an ambassador for the Finance function

Key Responsibilities

Decision support and simplification:

– Support the Site Lead Finance Partner, Site Leadership Team, Specialized Management Accounting Service and business on all financial matters

– Support month-end closing activities, including internal and Above Site financial reporting (data accuracy increase in all the systems reporting)

– Support the preparation and submission of the 3/1 Plans, Latest Estimates, and Capital Budgets

– Supports manufacturing accounting analysis

– Performs special studies and cost analysis

– Support the capital set up, closeout and reporting activities

– Provide financial analysis using internal and external information based on benchmarking as requested, including standard & nonstandard financial analysis and present trends

– Execute cost improvement projects and implementation of best practices

Financial management and governance:

– Manage financial management activities for business unit in support of delivering business strategies and maintaining strong financial governance

– Add commentaries to standard management reports based on an in-depth knowledge of the business

– Review management accounts (actual, forecasts, budgets) to assist Site Lead Finance partner support in signing off on income statement and balance sheet

Influence and relationship building:

– Assist in the management of financial activities / issues for external business partnerships

– Educate customer groups on financial aspects of business decisions and resource allocations

– Provide BPCS, SUN support as required

Breadth/ Scope of Accountability

Knowledge/ Education / Previous Experience Required

Minimum Level of Education:

– Licence Diploma

Area of Specialisation

– Accounting, Finance and business administration

Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience required

Basic knowledge/experience

– Good verbal and written English & French  languages skills

– 2 to 3 years experience in Finance department

– Understanding of systems and processes as they affect the financial results (Unison, TM1, SAP, JDE, etc)

– Good computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Preferred Requirements:

– Licence diploma (BAC +4 minimumu)
