In Algiers we currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Manager
Responsibilities:
The Site Manager is responsible for management of smaller low risk projects, generally $50K to 250K or an assigned work package within a larger project.
He/she is required to provide support and tasking direction to the assigned technician / engineering team and sub contractors. This support will consist of administrative tasks, forecasting, planning, risk identification, change order management, billing and payments.
Core duties include subcontract quality management, progress tracking and application for payment management, site engineering coordination and task management, and project planning for assigned activities. Also manages assigned technical work force and customer satisfaction.
Key activities:
– Maintain unbilled receivables on a monthly basis for total jobs managed and be responsible for meeting or exceeding working capital plan (for your assigned Projects).
– Manages assigned technician work force.
– Job site management and coordination of installation activities on customer site, subcontractors, Honeywell personnel, etc.
– Execute S.C.s(Sub Contracts) per Honeywell guidelines and follow project Leader issued procedures. PM should review every S.C. for T&C’s, scope, flow downs from prime, payment terms, etc. to ensure compliance.
– Be responsible for the requirements management process. Specifically ensure that the project requirements are clearly defined, scope is frozen and those requirements are transmitted to and understood by the engineers and technicians.
– Drive an effective site documentation process to support change order payment justification and payment agreement and time extension claims.
– Develop and execute project closeout plan for each job. This should include but not be limited to the project commissioning binder and sign off sheets.
– Provide accurate forecasts for revenue, GM and resource requirements to PM or PML.
– Understand Project Velocity recommendations and take ownership of savings targets for each category as it applies to your projects. – Specifically focus on Change Order Management and savings from engineering and tech labor – due to re-use and/or outsourcing to low cost centers.
– Manage equipment procurement per SM guidelines and leverage strategic suppliers to maximize savings and rebates.
– Support the sales team for accurate estimates, application selections and risk assessment as required.
– Provide PM or PML with feedback on training and development requirements of the Delivery team.
– Coach and train installation managers and technicians to be able to effectively manage small jobs or short cycle time projects.
– Manage the performance management process, conducting performance appraisals, and providing coaching, training, career planning, development, salary administration and reward and recognition for assigned Personnel.
– Build an effective team that is committed to organizational goals and fosters collaboration among team members and between teams. – Be the change management leader for team and aggressively implement agreed to initiatives.
– Ensure applicable local and industry codes and standards are upheld.
– Ensures that Honeywell SOPs are adhered to.
– Ensure a safe and healthy work environment through effective communication, training, equipment/vehicle maintenance and facilities improvement. Manage safety program for assigned Projects.
Profile:
– At least Bachelor degree in electrical engineering
– At least 2-3 years of experience in project management
– Extensive construction site management experience (low voltage projects)
– Extensive experience in managing e subcontractors (installation, commissioning)
– Learn and understand the controls technology to be able to effectively manage the engineering and technical requirements.
– Demonstrated ability to lead a team
– As a minimum be proficient with hardware drawings and scope requirements.
– Very good knowledge of English and French
