One (01) Site Manager/Plant Manager

Job Summary:

– Planning, managing and monitoring all the activities within the Operations function, including Production, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, HE&S activities.

– Providing continuous support to the staff, as well as overseeing the implementation of operational strategies and plans in order to enable company of achieving a competitive advantage of operational excellence.

ACTIVITIES, DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES:

Strategic:

– Managing the implementation of the activities that fall within the area of responsibility, in order to achieve set targets and standards for performance and quality, as well as ensuring their compliance with company’s rules and policies.

– Developing the Plant function’s work plan; assigning work activities, projects and programs, monitoring work flow, reviewing and evaluating work methods and procedures, and directing such activities to serve the Department’s goals and plans

– Proposing plans and programs that boost the effectiveness of the Plant function

– Ensuring that work activities are carried out achieving the pre-set performance goals, and suggesting any necessary actions to the direct Manager

Technical & Executive

– Providing operational and technical direction with regards to the various aspects and phases of the production to ensure professional and timely execution of production plans within the allocated resources and budgets

– Liaising with /production, Engineering, Project Management, Engineering & Supply Chain to ensure smooth flow of information and timely delivery of production requirements

– Establishing the Plant policies and procedures that comply with corporate policies related to operational processes and ensuring their proper implementation across the Plant to achieve company objectives.

– Directing and supporting the achievement of Supply Chain function goals through effective demand planning, supply planning, logistics planning and purchasing, to execute management policies and follow up targets attainments

– Managing the purchasing and logistics operations for company to achieve cost optimization, and ensure smooth supply of production with the optimal level of inventory

– Leading and managing Supply Chain integration activities; ensuring clear and active internal and external communication channels, strengthening relationships and partnerships with supply chain partners and strategic suppliers.

– Directing the execution of plans by the various Engineering functions and ensuring that they are implemented within the set schedules, policies and procedures of the Engineering function to meet preset goals.

– Monitoring, overseeing and approving changes/ modifications in the standards and procedures presented.

– Managing emergency plans and ensuring their proper implementation as per the company’s policies and procedures.

– Overseeing and directing quality audits and inspection processes, and managing the their scheduling, planning and implementation

Administrative

– Preparing periodic reports with respect to the Plant function’s activities and achievements to be submitted to the direct manager.

– Ensuring that instructions, circulars and organizational and technical decisions are followed and applied.

– Specifying manpower requirements for the Plant function according to the recruitment and selection and manpower planning practices.

– Recommending training needs of subordinates and evaluating the outcomes of training courses in coordination with the concerned human resources personnel.

– Conducting performance appraisals for subordinates according to scheduled plans and recommending necessary actions as per the applied practices.

– Following up on employees’ administrative affairs such as: vacations, leaves…etc.

– Conducting periodic meetings with subordinates to follow up on the smooth running of activities and keeping abreast with latest business-related practices

– Nominating a deputy to carry out the responsibilities of the position whenever the need arises
