In Algiers we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager

The Technical Manager is responsible for assisting the Project Manager with the delivery of projects by ensuring that best practice Design and Engineer processes are consistently followed by the Engineering Team.

The management and development of engineering talent within the assigned engineering community combined with the effective allocation of technical resource to achieve on-time within cost, project execution.

He/she will be also responsible for coordinating the input of various key internal and external stakeholders, they must have good communications kills.

The development and effective utilization of our remote engineering capability to maximize engineering productivity is a critical success factor for this role.

Duties include system infrastructure design reviews and assistance, including 3rd party product integration with EBI. The ability to lead to timely and effective resolution technical support issues.

Engineering Managers are required to manage there assigned engineering talent via robust development planning, training, coaching and performance management.

Responsible for the operational metrics of his team. For example utilization, on-time delivery and productivity.

Profile:

– Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering

– At least 5 to 10 years of experience in a projects environment, with extensive on-site knowledge

– Advanced Network / PC certification (Desirable)

– Previous experience working with highly complex technical  solutions

– Detailed knowledge of BACNet, LON, Modbus, OPC, and other protocols in addition to server redundancy and distributed solutions.

– Ability to coordinate and lead large system staging and FAT acceptance processesAdvanced knowledge of networking, database technology, integration protocols, and current trends in the industry.

-Proven track record in a project design and engineering capacity involved in the delivery of technology based projects

– Previous exposure to a site base, construction environment

– Ability to plan and schedule the delivery of large technical projects

– Self starting, able to work with a minimum of supervision

– Willing to develop extensive product knowledge in formal training, and in “on the job” environments, working with latest Honeywell technology

– Is a team player that is able to share best practice and develop engineering teams

– Excellent communication – both verbal and written

– Self-motivated

– The ability to work under pressure

– A strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment

– Very good knowledge of English and French
