PURPOSE
Preparartion of project plans & schedules. Monitoring, analysis and reporting of project activities.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
– To develop the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) of the project in conjunction with the project delivery and supporting teams ensuring timely project planning & scheduling management
– To prepare, document the basis and maintain project schedules liaising effectively with the project delivery and supporting teams, contractors, service providers, vendors and other stakeholders
– To coordinate and give support to the technical planning and scheduling activities in the delivery and supporting teams in their preparation and follow up of detailed schedules for specific project phases that will be required to support adequate control and management
– To provide QA/QC of work programs and execution schedules prepared by contractors and service providers throughout the Execution phase
– To conduct the required project schedule analysis, critical path analysis and schedule risk analysis to determine the required time contingency
– To contribute to the preparation of project controls procedures
– To develop and implement in conjunction with project delivery and supporting teams the physical progress and measurement system for the integrated project
– To establish schedule baselines to monitor and control project progress, analyzing schedule variances highlighting bottlenecks/delays and propose corrective actions
– To analyse and highlight the impact on the overall integrated schedule caused by change orders in the main contracts
– To prepare progress control reports for the monthly project report focusing on progress deviations, updating project progress forecast and analyzing the impact of recommend corrective actions. Prepare specific schedule and progress reports/presentations as required
– To compile the activity programs of the delivery and supporting teams and contribute to the preparation of resourcing and execution plans for the Annual Work Programs and Budgets
– To collate project planning & scheduling and progress data in sufficient detail so that it can be fed back to Project Management Divisions within project partners organizations for analysis, benchmarking and development projects database updating
REQUIREMENTS
– Hands on experience with planning & scheduling software tools (Primavera (versions P6); Microsoft Project, Milestones Professional) and sound knowledge of probabilistic and risk analysis methodology and software tools (Primavera Risk Analysis (PertMaster, Crystal Ball)
– Fluent and good written communication skills in English. French is highly considered
Senior Specialist:
– At least 15 years relevant working experience of which:
– Minimum 10 years in development projects for the Oil & Gas industry
– Bachelor degree in Engineering and Professionally qualified and career as Technical Planning Engineer
Specialist
– At least 10 years relevant working experience of which:
– Minimum 7 years in development projects for the Oil & Gas industry
– Professionally qualified and career as Technical Planning Engineer
